New iPad for students is on the way
There's a new iPad coming.
Several rumours on the internet are already confirming the news. Bloomberg supports one of them and states that, in addition to a new iPad (ninth generation), a "mini" version is also likely to arrive.
The new iPad, it seems, will have a very specific target audience: students. For this reason, it is speculated that the device will be smaller than the iPad we already know, but much more powerful.
New iPad will be smaller and faster
Any student's life is busy. The daily routine can be a rush, on different transports and in different places. This is mainly why Apple is now thinking of younger people for the launch of the new iPad.
In addition to being thinner and smaller, this iPad will come with a much faster and more powerful processor. The previous launch, in 2020, already brought a good upgrade: the A12 Bionic Chip.
However, it is expected that, in 2021, the story will change - for the better. If all goes as expected, the new iPad should include an updated chipset, which the iPhone 13 should also bring.
If the logic is the same, the new processor should be called "A13" - although it is not confirmed that this will be the final name.
More power brings higher cost
Initially, the new iPad, due to combining better components, should be sold at a higher price. Currently, 8th generation iPads are on sale from €345 - a price that is expected to change.
However, as the new iPad will be aimed at students, it is possible that there will be a slightly lower price. Still, it is certain that nothing has been confirmed in this regard (yet).
The price increase is justified by better graphics and image quality, a lighter and more compact design and, above all, a more efficient processor. Despite the new features, the new iPad should maintain Touch ID and the traditional Home button.
We just have to wait to hear about the new features, which shouldn't arrive alone. It seems that Apple is also preparing to launch a new generation of AirPods, a revamped edition of the iPad mini, more Apple Watches and MacBooks.
2021 is an unusual year, but not for the American tech giant.
