The American brand's operating system is one of the most iconic, so Apple, while remaining true to its layout, is now introducing some important new features.
Custom widgets
With iOS 14, widgets are moving to the home screen and will coexist with the applications you have installed. The big news is that you'll be able to choose the size and orientation of each widget (horizontally or vertically).
In other words, this means that each app can become a widget which, by taking up more or less screen space, allows "normal-sized" applications to remain close by.
This can be an interesting change for those applications you use more often than others (and which can, therefore, take up more space on the home screen).
Smart organisation and fewer interruptions
Another new feature of iOS 14 is the organisation of applications and also the menus you create. For example, if you have a menu created for social media, it will be displayed in a customised feed automatically created by the operating system itself.
With iOS 14, you'll also be able to use two applications simultaneously, which, until now, was not possible in some cases. This is the case with FaceTime and even calls.
Now, every time you receive a call while using your iPhone, a vertical tab appears, which no longer takes up the entire screen.
New and improved apps
"Translate", for example, is one of the new applications you can find in iOS 14. Others, such as Maps, Messages, and Safari, have received important improvements that, above all, improve their usability.
