Apple's Find My network extended to other brands

Apple Find My is a service that allows you to know, in real-time, where your devices are located. In other words, this means that once you pair your gadget, it will always be tracked.

For the service to work fully, you must enable it in your device's settings. From that moment on, you can connect any Apple device—such as your iPhone, MacBook, iPad, Apple Watch, among others.

But the new development is that, from now on, you can integrate devices from other brands. This means that some devices can also be monitored by Apple Find My.

The Apple Find My network now works with other brands

The Apple Find My app basically works based on a map. This, in turn, shows where each of the connected devices is located.

This feature is very useful when you lose a device or someone robs you. Essentially, devices can leave your line of sight, but never Apple Find My's.

This application constantly monitors the location of each of the gadgets you've paired, and now other brands are also supported—whereas until now, the app only worked with Apple devices.

Three brands are now welcome to this tracking service: VanMoof, and its bicycles; Belkin, and its wireless earbuds; and Chipolo, which also has its own small monitoring device.

Find your devices in seconds

That's right. The advantage of having Apple Find My activated is being able to always know where your electronic devices are. This happens when you lose them or when you are robbed.

And even if that doesn't happen, the service remains active. This is one of the brand's latest innovations—which will also soon launch a sleep monitoring sensor—and is, in fact, one of the most useful.

It happens that even if the lost device does not have an internet connection at that moment, Apple Find My will (still) be able to find it.

How? Via Bluetooth. This type of connection ensures that no device is ever lost, even if it is not online. Thus, Apple's functionality remains active and secure at all times, allowing constant tracking—even in the most improbable situations.
