The new MacBook Pro arrives at the end of the year
It was already being said that Apple would not announce any more launches in 2021 — at least not before the highly anticipated iPhone 13. But all indications are that there will be another new release: the mini-LED MacBook Pro.
The news comes from Digitimes, which guarantees that Apple has already started contacting suppliers about this. If confirmed, this will be the first time a MacBook Pro is launched with such advanced display technology.
New MacBook Pro: what we know so far
Although Apple neither confirms nor denies this information, many rumors are circulating online. These rumors almost guarantee the news. The biggest new feature is the display technology: mini-LED.
Apparently, this is a very powerful benefit, as well as a great advantage for any computer. The new MacBook Pro, following tradition, should be launched in two versions: 14 and 16 inches.
Mini-LED technology has only been implemented in the iPad Pro so far, which can only mean that its performance met Apple's expectations.
Mini-LED MacBook Pro: what changes
The main difference between this technology and the previous one, used, for example, in the last MacBook Pro 13, is the (huge) backlight system. In the case of mini-LED technology, this system no longer exists.
In other words, this illumination is reduced and divided into multiple dimming zones — which, in turn, allow for greater contrast and improved sharpness.
Improvements are also expected in terms of processing. After the success of the Apple M1, the first processor for computers developed by the brand (which only used Intel Core until now), there may be new developments.
The new MacBook Pro could, therefore, arrive with a more powerful and faster processor. Logically, this could be called "Apple M2," but there is no information yet to confirm this hypothesis.
In terms of materials, there are no major confirmations yet. Apparently, the new MacBook Pro will be lighter and may eventually have new colors — according to some sources.
We just have to wait a few more months to see the brand's new computer. It could come with up to 64 GB of RAM and between two and three Thunderbolt ports.
