Magic Keyboard: Apple's new keyboard is on the way
Apple's latest innovation is already online: the Magic Keyboard has been redesigned and is now available in two versions — one with a numeric keypad, and the other without this addition.
What's certain is that, regardless of its size (and number of keys), the new Apple keyboard supports Touch ID technology and is faster than ever.
Shall we take a look?
Magic Keyboard: more features and speed
Until (very) recently, the Magic Keyboard was only sold with the iMac. But that has changed. Now, you can buy the new Apple keyboard separately, even if you don't own that computer model.
The biggest new features, however, can be found in the new version of this keyboard. Although it has started to be sold again with the new colorful iMacs, the Magic Keyboard has gained even greater importance since it is sold separately.
Many users have purchased the new Apple keyboard for their daily tasks. It is a device that, in addition to being very light and practical, guarantees the best functionalities on the market.
Two versions and improved performance
The new Apple keyboard comes in two versions: with and without a numeric keypad. The first, larger and more expensive, offers the possibility of having all the functions of a traditional keyboard at your fingertips.
The second, without a numeric keypad, features a much more compact design. In this case, you'll find the numeric keys at the top of the keyboard.
Despite being different, both versions include a powerful feature: Touch ID. And what does that mean? It means you can now unlock your computer with your fingerprint, directly from the Magic Keyboard.
Don't be fooled into thinking you can only use the new Apple keyboard if you have a computer from the brand (like the MacBook Pro). Even if you use Windows, the keyboard will work without problems.
What doesn't work yet, however, is Touch ID, which is reserved for devices from the Apple brand. Still, there's no guarantee that this integration won't change to include other brands.
This should be one of the last releases (if not the last) before the iPhone 13 — which is expected to arrive in September 2021. The anticipation is high, and the truth is, you'll also be able to use the Magic Keyboard with that iPhone.
The new versions are already available online (starting from €159), on Apple's official website.
