Apple Car: company already in talks with Toyota

This isn't the first time we've heard this news. We had previously reported that the first Apple car could indeed be a reality. But now, there is even more credible information.

The news comes from DigiTimes, in a new report confirming that Apple representatives are already in Asia negotiating with Toyota. If confirmed, the Apple Car could be the American company's first electric car.

Apple Car to start production in 2024

Apparently, Apple will join forces with one of the world's most prestigious car brands: Toyota. The mentioned report, produced by the Asian platform, also states that the car will begin production in 2024.

But the news doesn't stop there, as there are reports confirming other partnerships — namely with LG Electronics and the South Korea SK Group.

Apple, which is preparing to launch the iPhone 13 with a new price, has been working on this car since 2014. However, the novelty was continuously postponed. New products and services were launched (or improved), and the Apple Car ceased to be a priority.

The truth is that the American company has a lot of homework to do before launching its first electric car. Naturally, it is necessary to resort to new suppliers and also to think about a digital system capable of responding to a car of this type.

Apple Car with innovative battery

Reuters had already advanced the news, and the truth is that this information is now even more credible. The agency wrote about the progress Apple was making regarding the internal components of the Apple Car.

Now, there are more rumors pointing in the same direction. According to the agency's article, Apple is developing a highly innovative battery system — very similar to the one launched with the first iPhone.

This information, when cross-referenced with the DigiTimes report, seems to confirm that the Apple Car will indeed see the light of day. Although the process is long and quite complex, it may be a matter of time until the first confirmations emerge.

Until then, Apple continues to invest in new products, such as the iPad and the new MacBook Air.
