Apple confirms: iOS 15 is here

It was at WWDC21, Apple's latest conference, that the company announced more news for its users. iOS 15 was already highly anticipated, and it was confirmed that the update will be available to everyone in the coming days.

More intuitive and functional, this new update promises simpler use. With it, new applications arrive, such as Focus and SharePlay. The Maps app has been reinvented, and FaceTime is more natural than ever.

iOS 15 for everyone

It's really true. If you still have an iPhone 6S, consider yourself lucky, because you will also receive the iOS 15 update. With this decision, Apple makes the update more inclusive and accessible to more users.

Many people will be able to use the new applications and features of one of the best operating systems on the market. As is customary for the brand, the update will extend to most devices—including the iPad and iPad Pro.

As usual, iOS 15 will be released gradually. Some users will be the first to receive it. Others will have to wait a few more days.

What's new in iOS 15

Apple's latest operating system update promises more integration, connectivity, and focus—you read that right.

Focus is the iOS 15 application that will eliminate any and all distractions you receive. You may be working, or even reading an e-book, and you don't want anyone to bother you. Now, you'll be able to ask Focus to do that job for you.

Another new feature is called SharePlay. This app will take connectivity and proximity to the next level. With it, you can listen to music, watch videos and movies, simultaneously with your family or friends—even if they are thousands of miles away from you.

FaceTime and Maps, in turn, receive updates. While in the first, you'll be able to make and receive calls more naturally, with reinvented colors and image clarity; in the second, you'll see new 3D elements during your journey.

These new features will be available not only on new devices (like the anticipated iPhone 13), but also on older ones. So, if you have a refurbished iPhone (later than 6S), you'll be able to explore these new features (and a few more).

Don't worry, because you won't have to wait long. It's a matter of days until iOS 15 reaches your hands.
