Screen and performance: Approaching the iPhone 16
With a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR display and Action button, this new model moves away from the SE, which featured a 4.7-inch Retina HD display and only a touch and/or mute button. It features an HDR display with a resolution of 2532x1170 pixels and 1200 nits of peak brightness.
Both the new model and the iPhone 16 have an A18 processor and the integration of Apple Intelligence, a helper that makes tasks easier. In contrast, the SE had an A13 Bionic processor.

Ready to use a 2-in-1 camera?
Two of the major new features of the iPhone 16e are its camera with a 48 MP 2-in-1 Fusion system, an improvement over the iPhone SE's single 12 MP main camera, and the ability to capture high-resolution photos at 24 MP and 48 MP. However, it does not come equipped with the iPhone 16's ultra-wide-angle camera or the dedicated camera access button.
But the new features don't stop there: the new model joins the iPhone 16 in offering photographic styles, Dolby Vision up to 4K at 60 fps, photonic engine, night mode, visual intelligence that allows you to learn more about what you see, and 1x and 2x optical zoom options.
Regarding video recording, you have the opportunity to shoot a night mode time-lapse, reduce wind noise, and perform audio mixing and zooming.
Greater capacity and security
The larger battery capacity with up to 26 hours of video playback is one of the points that make this model superior to the iPhone 16, which has up to 22 hours, and the SE, with up to 13 hours.
The iPhone 16e gives you ultra-fast 5G mobile network, 128 GB, 256 GB, or 512 GB capacity, and, in terms of access security, introduces Face ID detected by the TrueDepth front camera.
You can feel even safer with this model's ability to detect an accident and initiate an emergency SOS call via satellite.
And what about its water resistance?
Enjoy the iPhone 16e for up to 30 minutes at a maximum depth of 6 meters. Its rating is IP68, compared to the IP67 of the old iPhone SE.
