Share health data with your family? With iOS 15, you can
New update, countless new features.
iOS 15 arrives packed with new features and applications, but one of the main highlights is the Health app.
It's no secret that Apple has been increasingly committed to constantly monitoring its users. Proof of this are the new features that have been launched.
Among them are those implemented on the Apple Watch, the device that deserves the most prominence regarding advancements in the Health app's functionalities.
In fact, one of the most recent related news actually has to do with that device, which now detects when a user's heart rate is low.

Health for all: share information with family
Yes, now you can. Apple has updated the Health app, but not only that. The company went further by creating shared functionalities and even a new tab—added within the application itself.
It's called "Sharing" and lets you enter all the details (that you consider relevant) about your health. But don't worry, because this information will remain private.
You will only share it with the family members you choose (and add) to the app as your "caregivers." In this case, you can also choose just one person.
That's where you can share data such as the number of hours you sleep per night, your blood oxygen percentage, or even your heart rate. You choose the information you share. Of course, all of this is only possible with an Apple Watch on your wrist.
New features only work with Apple Watch
After Apple concluded that the Apple Watch can detect Covid-19 early, it is now time to take the Health app's functionalities to another level.
Besides being able to add family members to the application, you can even include your doctor's contact—who will receive notifications whenever something strange happens (like a low heart rate, for example).
In fact, these new features only work with Apple's smartwatch. Otherwise, it would not be possible to measure, for example, a person's heart rate.
These functionalities allow for closer monitoring, especially for people living with a disease. It's another step forward Apple is taking to ensure the well-being of its users.
