iOS 16.4 - More emojis, new features, and much more.

iOS 16.4 is now available to everyone and includes a host of new features for iPhone users.

There are new emojis, more powerful web apps, bug fixes, and more. Here are the official iOS 16.4 release notes:

• 21 new emojis, including animals, hand gestures, and objects

• The duplicates album expands its capacity and now detects duplicate photos and videos in Shared Albums as well
• VoiceOver support for maps in the Weather app
• Voice Isolation for calls prioritizes your voice and blocks out ambient noise around you
• Resolved an issue where Apple Home-compatible thermostats became unresponsive when paired
• Fixed an issue where "Ask to Buy" requests from children did not appear on parents' devices
• Notifications for Safari web apps added to the Home Screen
• Setting in the accessibility menu to automatically dim video when light effects are detected
• Optimization in Crash Detection on iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro models

Beyond Apple's official release notes, there's also support for 5G Standalone, an increase in countries with 5G connectivity, the introduction of a new HomeKit architecture, and a change in how Apple releases iOS beta versions.

iOS 16.4 and iPadOS 16.4 are available for all iPhone and iPad models. You can update now by going to Settings -> General -> Software Update. Once you start the installation process, your iPhone or iPad will download the update, and then you will need to restart your device to complete the process. Remember that your device will be unusable while it restarts to install the update, and this process may take a few minutes.
